Special Meeting of the Elk River EDA <br />Together Elk River Committee <br />Held at the Elk River City Hall <br />Tuesday, March 18, 2024 <br /> <br /> <br />Members Present: Charlie Blesener, Debbi Rydberg, and Jennifer Wagner <br /> <br />Members Absent: Joanna Arbic <br /> <br />Staff Present: Economic Development Specialist Josh Mollan. Economic Development Director Brent <br />O’Neil, and Senior Communications Coordinator Starr Sorheim <br /> <br /> <br />1. Call Meeting to Order <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River Economic Development Authority <br />Together Elk River Subcommittee was called to order at 4:35 p.m. by Jennifer. <br /> <br />2. Consider Agenda <br /> <br />Moved by Charlie and seconded by Debbi to approve the agenda. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />3. Consider Minutes <br /> <br /> Moved by Charlie and seconded by Debbi to approve February 20, 2024, Meeting Minutes. Motion <br />carried 3-0. <br /> <br />4.1 169 Redefine and Video Marketing Update <br /> <br /> Starr provided an update on 169 Redefine. <br /> <br /> Josh advised that he will be working with Jake Pace in creating Facebook Reels for highlighting businesses <br />impacted by the Main Street closure. <br /> <br /> The committee was in favor of this marketing approach but to focus on businesses that don’t have <br />franchise/national brand marketing. <br /> <br />4.2 Billboard/Signage Update <br /> <br /> Josh shared the Placer.ai household group descriptions that were mentioned at the last meeting. <br /> <br /> Josh shared the traffic flow from the westbound Highway 10 traffic pin. <br /> <br /> Josh advised that Chris Leeseberg will provide vendors that have requested permits for temporary signage. <br />In addition, Josh will look further into leased signage from Franklin Outdoor, and changing the copy on the <br />existing for-sale sign at Main and Gates. <br /> <br />4.3 OrangeBall Services for 2024 <br /> <br /> Josh shared the proposed services in the OrangeBall contract. <br /> <br /> The committee was comfortable moving forward with OrangeBall for the social media campaign in 2024. <br />
