�i <br />Elk River --�- <br />Municipal Utilities UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING <br />TO: <br />FROM: <br />ERMU Commission <br />Sara Youngs —Administrations Director <br />MEETING DATE: <br />AGENDA ITEM NUMBER: <br />March 12, 2024 <br />6.1b <br />SUBJECT: <br />Staff Update <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />None <br />DISCUSSION: <br />• Office walk-in traffic for February consisted of 161 customers, averaging 31 customers <br />per week over the 5-week period. <br />• ERMU red tag notification count for February under the Cold Weather Rule. <br />o Cycle 3 — 21 red tag notifications. <br />o Cycle 4-0 red tag notifications due to testing of Advanced Metering <br />Infrastructure (AMI). <br />o Cycle 1— 29 red tag notifications. <br />o Cycle 2 —11 red tag notifications and 1 disconnection. <br />• During the month of February 2024, the customer service team entered 39 payment <br />arrangements with customers. During February 2023 there were 45 payment <br />arrangements. <br />• Currently there are 7 active residential solar photovoltaic projects planned or under <br />construction in the ERMU service territory. <br />• In the last 30 days, combined the level two charger located downtown and in the <br />parking lot in front of ERMU had 19 sessions and provided customers with 585 kWh of <br />green energy. <br />• The annual Utility Distributed Generation Interconnection has been filed with the <br />Minnesota Public Utilities Commission. Minnesota Statute 21613.1611 requires every <br />electric utility to file all distributed energy resource systems interconnected, withdrawn, <br />decommissioned, and in active application. <br />• The AMI team continues to meet weekly with National Information Solutions <br />Cooperative and Core & Main to work through, test, and implement new processes and <br />procedures. <br />• Starting with the disconnection date of February 28, 2024, customers that have the AMI <br />electric meter installed on their residence will be disconnected and reconnected <br />remotely. <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />187 <br />
