<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />August 11, 1916 <br /> <br />A special meeting of Village Council was held at the office of C.F. Fiman on Friday Aug 11, 1916. <br /> <br />Present – C.F. Fiman, Pres, E.E. Scott, F.M. Plank Trustees and W.F. Chadbourne, Clerk. <br /> <br />This meeting was called for the purpose of deciding as to purchasing a fire engine. <br /> <br />A representative of the Waterous Engine Co being present. <br /> <br />A committee appointed in 1915 to look the matter up having reported very favorably. <br /> <br />The motion was made by F.M. Plank Trustee seconded by E.E. Scott Trustee that we purchase a <br />four cylinder No. 6 Class “B” Waterous Engine under the following conditions. Viz. <br />Said engine to cost 1650.00 with allowance for old engine of 200.00 making a net cost of new engine <br />1450.00 to be paid for as specified in contract <br />1 year from date 241.67 <br />2 years from date 241.66 <br />3 years from date 241.66 <br />4 years from date 241.66 <br />5 years from date 241.66 <br />6 years from date 241.69 – 1450.00 <br />With interest at the rate of 6% per annum from this date payable semi-annually. <br /> <br />Pres ordered roll call on above motion. <br /> <br />C.F.
