<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />March 24, 1917 <br /> <br />A special meeting of the Village Council was held at the office of C.F. Fiman Pres on Saturday <br />morning March 24, 1917 <br /> <br />Present – C.F. Fiman, Pres, F.M. Plank Trustee and W.F. Chadbourne, Clerk. <br /> <br />The following resolution was offered <br />Whereas, the Vill. Council having ordered 32 piling to build Ice Break in Miss River above Bridge <br />with the understanding that they should use them this winter and said order being given the E.R. <br />Lumber Co early in February for immediate delivery and said piling having not arrived at this date <br />and it being to late to use said piling before the river breaks up therefore be it resolved that the <br />council cancel above order for piling and refuse to accept same. <br /> <br />On roll call the vote was unanimous <br />C.F. Fiman aye <br />F.M. Plank aye <br />W.F. Chadbourne aye <br />Noes none <br /> <br />Clerk ordered to notify Elk River Lumber Co immediately. <br /> <br /> <br />No further business adjourned. <br />W.F.
