Duffy <br />owns a developable property adjacent to the Coachman property in which they would propose to construct a new <br />building of approximately 50 units targeted to the 55+ population. This project was discussed by the HRA and <br />City Council in the Spring of 2023 as Duffy sought funding through the state’s consolidated housing finance <br />application. The company received notice recently that it was not selected for funding in this award cycle. <br /> <br />Duffy intends to apply for funding again in the 2024 cycle and has requested the opportunity to present the <br />project to the HRA. A component of the state application awards points based on local support and participation. <br />The City Council provided a letter of support on recommendation of the HRA in 2023.
