Updated: August 2020 <br />Request for Action <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />To <br />Parks and Recreation Commission <br />Item Number <br />7.4 <br />Agenda Section <br />Action <br />Meeting Date <br />November 8, 2023 <br />Prepared by <br />Michael Hecker, Parks and Recreation Director <br />Item Description <br />2024 Park Improvement Fund and Park <br />Dedication projects <br />Reviewed by <br />Joe Stremcha, Assistant City Administrator <br />Reviewed by <br /> <br /> <br />Action Requested <br />Recommend, by motion the 2024 Park Improvement Fund and Park Dedication projects <br /> <br />Background/Discussion <br />The Parks and Recreation Commission reviewed the 2024 Park Improvement Fund and Park Dedication projects at <br />the September 13 meeting. <br /> <br />Projects discussed and recommended by staff and the Commission for 2024 are as follows: <br />• PIF- Trott Brook Playground replacement - $125,000 <br />• PIF - FMR partnership - $6,250 <br />• Park Dedication Fund - Two AED’s for a total cost of $18,000 ($9,000 each Orono Park and PT Complex) <br /> <br />The park system neighborhood playground replacements introduced to the Commission in July will be worked on <br />as a comprehensive playground project for the next year. This includes recreational courts, playgrounds, and park <br />amenities.
