VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER MEETING CITY COUNCIL <br />FEBRUARY 19, 1923 A postponed regular meeting of the Village Council was held at the Library Room on Monday Feb 19 1923 Present - M.K. Iliff, Pres, C.A. Morse, Geo Cornelius, Trustee, W.F. Chadbourne, Clerk Fred Ayers, Fire Chief Meeting called to order by the Pres. at 7:30 p.m. Fred Ayers presented of the Fire at the Bishop Meat market. Mr. E.W. Dickey Dariyman presented his application for license to sell milk and cream in the Village of Elk River until Jan 1, 1924. On motion his application was granted. On motion duly made seconded and declared carried the fee for license to milk and cream in the Village of Elk River shall be 1.00 per year subject to the conditions of Ordinance No. 17. In regard to the Electric Light service in the Village during the last year constant complaint having been made to the Council in regard to its low quality. On motion the clerk was instructed to notify the Elk River Power and Light Co in strong terms that something must be done to give the resident people of Elk River better service. On motion duly made seconded and declared carried the salary of the Village Treas. Shall be 100.00 per year until further notice.
