VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER MEETING CITY COUNCIL <br />APRIL 4, 1922 Village Council met at the office of J.E. Hamlet. April 4, 1922. Present- M.K. Iliff, President,J.E. Hamlet, C.A. Morse, Geo Cornelius, Trustees. W.F. Chadbourne, Clerk. Meeting called to order by the Pres at 2:30 p.m. Reading of minutes of past meeting omitted owing to their absence. W.F. Chadbourne presented his official bond signed by H.B. Nickerson and Gaye Shannon as sureties, on motion. Bond was accepted signed by the Pres and placed on file. L.K. Houlton, Treas. Duly elected appeared before the council and notified them that for good and sufficient reasons he had decided not to qualify for the office at this time on motion duly made seconded and declared carried Mr. Roy Ellingson was appointed to act as Treas. For the coming year.On motion duly made seconded and declared carried William Iliff was appointed Marshal and also to care for the pumping station at a salary of $100.00 per month. On motion duly made seconded and declared carried the clerks salary was fixed at $25.00 per month the same as the former clerk and also that he publish the minutes of regular meetings in the Star News. It was decided to hold the Regular meetings on the 2nd Tuesday in each month at the office of John Hamlet until further notice. On motion meeting adjourned. W.F. Chadbourne, Village Clerk
