<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />December 3, 1913 <br /> <br /> <br />A Special meeting of Village Council was held at the office of Charles F. Firman on Wednesday <br />evening Dec 3, 1913. <br /> <br />Present: C.F. Firman Pres, F.M. Plank and E.E. Scott Trustees and W.F. Chadbourne Clerk. <br />Also Marshal Ed Healy and John Nalley. Meeting called to order by Pres at 8:30. <br /> <br />This meeting was called for the purpose of considering the best way of completing Bridge No. 668 <br />over Miss River at this place. The Grand Bridge Co having defaulted their contract. <br /> <br />The Council rec’d several estimates of cost for removing old tubes and concrete work also <br />excavating and putting in according to plans and specifications. <br /> <br />After some discussion the following motion was made and carried that the council proceed to do <br />this work by the day. <br /> <br />Mr. John Nalley offered to take charge of the work for 40 cents per hour saying he could get 4 men <br />at .20 and 2 at .25 per hour. Mr. Nalley was engaged to do the work. <br /> <br /> <br />No further business adjourned. <br /> <br />W.F. Chadbourne <br />Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
