<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />October 29, 1913 <br /> <br /> <br />A Special meeting of Village Council was held at the Office of C.F. Fiman Pres of Village Council <br />on Wednesday evening Oct 29, 1913. <br /> <br />Present: C.F. Firman Pres, F.M. Plank, Ed Keegan, and E.E. Scott Trustee and W.F. Chadbourne <br />Clerk. <br /> <br />The meeting was called for the purpose of hearing objections if any to the vacating certain streets in <br />the Village of Elk River as per notice published in the Star News. <br /> <br />No objection being offered the Council granted the prayer of petitions as published. <br /> <br />The following bills were presented and on motion allowed and Clerk ordered to draw orders for <br />same <br /> <br />E.J. Keegan st work 36.00 <br />James Clute street work 18.00 <br />Tom Gilroy st work 10.12 <br />Wm Dunwick st work 22.50 <br />A.A. Opely dumping ground 10.00 <br />John Hamlet gasoline 23.10 <br />Daly Hdw Co goods 36.05 <br />John Hamlet st sprinkling Oct 10.00 <br />Harold Keays bal due flowers in park 15.00 <br />C.F. Firman cash paid for lead wool 7.50 <br />Grand Bridge Co on contract 126.75 <br /> <br />Henry Bargabos having been removed from the office of City Marshal and two applications being <br />made for the job: John Wailey and Ed Healy on motion Ed Healy was appointed to the office of <br />Marshall to take effect Nov 1, 1913. <br /> <br />No further business adjourned. <br /> <br />W.F.
