<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />April 29, 1914 <br /> <br />A Special meeting of Village Council was held on the above date at the Office of Charles F. Firman, <br />Pres. <br /> <br />Present: C.F. Firman Pres, F.M. Plank, Ed Keegan, Trustees and W.F. Chadbourne Clerk. <br /> <br />Meeting called to order by Pres at 8:30 P.M. <br /> <br />The following “Ordinance” were presented to Council <br /> <br />Ordinance No. 59 an ordinance to provide for the of streets, alleys and <br />premises as a protection against fire. Roll call Ayes C.F. Firman, T.M. Plant, Ed Keegan and W.F. <br />Chadbourne. Nos: none <br /> <br />Ordinance No. 60 <br /> <br />An Ordinance to provide for the inspection of buildings. Protection against fire and abatement of <br />Fire Dangers and to provide compensation for the same. Roll call “ayes” C.F. Firman, F.M. Plank, <br />Ed Keegan, and W.F. Chadbourne “Noes” none. <br /> <br />Ordinance No. 61 <br />An ordinance giving permission and authority to the Standard Oil Co an Indiana Corporation doing <br />business in the State of Minnesota to construct and maintain for a period of twenty years warehouse, <br />tanks and other buildings and structures necessary for its business and to store therein illuminating <br />oils and other dangerous materials. Roll call ayes C.F. Firman, F.M.
