The Lion John Weicht playground will be bought in 2023 for a 2024 installation. <br />Three options for the boulder feature replacement at Orono Park were presented to the Commission at the July <br />meeting. The staff report and options that were presented are included in the packet. The Commission will need to <br />consider funding a replacement in 2024 or choose to continue leaving the space void of a feature. <br />Projects that are planned for in the PIF for 2024 are as follows: <br />• Trott Brook Playground replacement - $125,000 <br />• AED's at a cost to be determined to be located in signature parks and athletic complexes <br />• FMR partnership - $6,250 <br />• Placing a hold on $50,000 for Kliever Lake basketball replacement until a survey is completed. <br />The park system playground replacements introduced to the Commission in July will be reviewed later this winter by <br />staff and the Parks and Recreation Commission. Staff will plan a community open house and a survey to prioritize <br />playground replacements for 2025-2028.
