Background/Discussion The cityT and the Elk River Area Chamber of Commerce entered into a lease agreement in 1994 for the cit�T pYopeYt�r located at 509 US-10, in Elk River. The lease was amended in 2014 and 2019 and currently runs through August 31, 2025. Per the agreement, the Chamber is responsible for maintenance, upkeep and improvements to the building and the city is responsible for some of the grounds items such as maintaining the irrigation syTstem, parking areas and side`valks and snow plo�ving the lots. In recent yTears, the Chamber has made several improvements to ensure the functionalityT of the building. The e�sting deck needs replacement and �vould require r�DA improvements for required accessibilityT. The Chamber has engaged IOA, Inc. to provide exterior upgrade options and preliminaryT pricing. Board Member Linda Cockrell has led the improvement discoveryT and will provide an overview of the Chamber's vision for the building and a cost-sharing proposal for the Council to consider. Financial Impact Municipal facilityT upgrades and improvements are tyTpicallyT funded through the Building Reserve Fund.
