Request for Action <br />To Item Number <br />Ma ror and Cinr Council 11.1 <br />Agenda Section Meeting Date Prepared by <br />Work Session August 7, 2023 Cal Pormer, Cit�T Administrator <br />Item Description Reviewed by <br />Discuss Chamber of Commerce Building <br />Improvements Reviewed by <br />Action Requested <br />Receive information, provide feedback on proposed improvements and cityT participation. <br />Background/Discussion <br />The cityT and the Elk River Area Chamber of Commerce entered into a lease agreement in 1994 for the cit�T <br />pYopeYt�r located at 509 US-10, in Elk River. The lease was amended in 2014 and 2019 and currently runs through <br />August 31, 2025. <br />Per the agreement, the Chamber is responsible for maintenance, upkeep and improvements to the building and <br />the city is responsible for some of the grounds items such as maintaining the irrigation syTstem, parking areas and <br />side`valks and snow plo�ving the lots. <br />In recent yTears, the Chamber has made several improvements to ensure the functionalityT of the building. <br />The e�sting deck needs replacement and �vould require r�DA improvements for required accessibilityT.
