<br />Meeting of the Elk River EDA Beautification Committee <br />Held at the Elk River City Hall <br /> <br />th <br />Monday, October 10, 2022 <br /> <br />Members Present: Ryan Hardin, Melissa McAlpine, and Deb Hjermstad <br /> <br />Members Absent: Ashley Welsh <br /> <br />Staff Present: , Economic Development Director <br /> Joshua Mollan, Economic Development Specialist <br /> Chris Leeseberg, Senior Planner <br /> <br />1. Call Meeting to Order <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the EDA Beautification Committee <br />was called to order at 10:07 a.m. by Chair Hardin. <br /> <br />2. Consider Agenda <br /> <br />Motion by McAlpine and seconded by Hjermstad to approve the agenda. <br /> <br />Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />3. Consent Agenda <br /> <br />Motion by McAlpine and seconded by Hjermstad to approve the consent agenda. <br /> <br />Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />4.1 Judge Applications <br /> <br />Mr. Mollan introduced the third applicant: Toth Farms. The committee discussed the <br />eligibility of their barn for the Beautification Award. <br /> <br />Motion by Hjermstad and seconded by McAlpine to confirm that Toth Farms does <br />not qualify for the Beautification Award based on the criteria set forth. <br /> <br />Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />The two remaining applicants, Three Rivers Montessori, and Salon on Main were judged <br />using the Beautification Award Judging Rubric. <br /> <br />Out of a maximum of 45 points Three Rivers Montessori scored 36 and Salon on Main <br />scored 29. <br /> <br />Staff will confirm eligibility of the finalists and bring to the committee at the November <br />meeting before making a recommendation to the EDA. <br /> <br />
