Call Meetina To Order <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof. the meeting of the Elk River Park and <br />Recreation Commission was called to order at 7:06 p.m. by Chair Dana <br />Anderson. <br /> <br />2. Discussion on Park Bond Issues <br /> <br />The Park and Recreation Commission held a discussion on park bond issues. It <br />was the consensus of the Commission to suggest the following improvements for <br />bond funding: <br /> <br />· Restrooms - increase to $25.000/ea <br />o Orono Park <br />o Orono Softball Complex <br />o Cass Softball Complex <br />o Woodland Trails Park <br /> <br />· Open Shelters - $22.500/ea <br />o Woodland Trails Park - 2 <br />o Cass Softball Complex - 2 <br />o Oak Knoll Complex - 1 <br />o Country Crossings 1 st - 1 <br />o Country Crossings 3rd - 1 <br />o Deerfield 4th - 1 <br />o Trott Brook - 1 <br />o Park to be purchased east of Highway 169 - 1 <br /> <br />· Playground Equipment - 10 units <br />o Recommendation by staff for 6/11/97 meeting <br /> <br />· Swimming Pools <br />o Phil Hals distributed literature for "wet playground" in lieu of a <br />pool. Commissioners requested more information on size and <br />type of pools that are available for $750,000. Phil Hals will <br />continue to collect cost information for the 6/11/97 meeting <br />
