The bill is currently in both <br />the House and Senate Omnibus Bills and is likelyT to be signed into la`v. The League of iVlinnesota Cities <br />recommends being prepared for passage of the bill and making sure it doesn't conflict �vith city meeting schedules. <br />The addition of the new federal holidayT in state statutes mandates that no governmental work shall be conducted <br />on this dayT. <br />There is an Economic Development AuthorityT and a CityT Council meeting scheduled for June 19. It could be a <br />few more `veeks before the bill is signed into la`v because it must go through conference committee, so it mayT be <br />mid-May `vhen it's signed.
