<br />ELK RIVER TOWN BOARD MEETING <br />MARCH 4, 1974 <br /> <br />Meeting called to order by chairman at 7:40 P.M. Motion made, seconded and carried that Frank <br />Madsen be named acting clerk in the absence of Everett Rathbun who was absent. So carried. <br />Motion made that Gwen Smith be named acting treasurer in the absence of DR Moldenhauer <br />seconded and carried. Theo Bray appeared before the Board in regard to the road in front of his <br />place. No action was taken. Dan Lucas appeared regarding the street name. No action taken. Motion <br />was made and seconded that and carried that the Town Board go on record indicating that it is not <br />nd <br />necessary to name a topographical made of Village Estates, 2 addition by Gary Santwire. The Clerk <br />will provide the necessary letter for Mr. Santwire. Motion made, seconded and carried that the <br />meeting adjourn. First order of business Theodore Bray appeared before the Board. His <br />claim was that the road cut in crosses his land and makes it difficult to sell. It was suggested by <br />Frank Madsen the road be surveyed from Lewis Lahmon corner west to the river and described. <br />The above suggestion was put in the form of a motion by Frank Madsen. Seconded by Earl Schulke. <br />Motion so carried. An easement should be secured and dedicated by the abutting land owners. <br /> <br />Mr. and Mrs. Lucas next appeared. He presented his suggestions for revising the names in certina <br />th <br />areas of the township. The board is to meet and audit books on Feb 11. <br /> <br /> <br />
