<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING <br />TO: <br />ERMU Commission <br />FROM: <br />Dave Ninow – Water Superintendent <br />MEETING DATE: <br />March 14, 2023 <br />AGENDA ITEM NUMBER: <br />6.1i <br />SUBJECT: <br />Staff Update <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />None <br />DISCUSSION: <br />• Delivered 15 new water meters. <br />• Sealed the water meter, installed an encoder receiver transmitter, and took curb stop <br />ties from 10 water services. <br />• Completed 15 BACTI/Total Chlorine Residual Samples <br />o All confirmed negative for Coliform Bacteria <br />o Bacteriological/Disinfectant Residual Monthly Report submitted to the MDH <br />• Completed 19 routine fluoride samples <br />o All samples met MDH standards <br />o Submitted MDH Fluoride Report <br />o Completed one MDH validation fluoride sample <br />• Submitted Discharge Monitoring Report (DMR) for the diesel generation plant to the <br />Minnesota Pollution Control Agency. <br />• Submitted Tier II Annual Reports to the Department of Homeland Security for the diesel <br />generation plant and all the water treatment plants. <br />• Routine maintenance and inspection of well #2 has been completed, the pump and <br />motor have been reinstalled, water quality testing done, and the well is now back in <br />service. <br />• Staff has been working with city staff on plans for the water main replacement and <br />street rehabilitation project that will occur in the School View neighborhood this <br />summer. <br />• The water operators have spent much of their time performing annual preventive <br />maintenance on the water treatment plants. <br /> <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />• February 2023 Pumping by Well <br /> <br />258
