<br />ELK RIVER TOWN BOARD MEETING <br />JULY 3, 1972 <br /> <br />The Town Board met in special session with all but Franklin Madsen present. The meeting was <br />called to order by the acting chairman EL Specht. Fred Brenteson presented a bill for work done for <br />township. Richard Gruys and Larry Malaman appeared in regard to the town road near Dick Gruys <br />home. Mr. Malaman is raising radishes north and east of Richard Gruys home. He has been turning <br />on the Town Road with a small tractor which tears up the Road. Also Richard <br />Gruys sleeps some of the days and this bother as he is on a split shift. Mr. Malaman stated he <br />purchased 130 acres more or less. He has plans some time in the future to build a home on some of <br />the high land. The Board in on record as being in favor of building a road when evidence of a home <br />being built shows up. The County has a oil price for oil for roads of fast drying R.C. 1869 per gal <br />Balzer 1909 H&S per gal. .22 Craig per gal. A motion was made by E.
