<br />ELK RIVER TOWN BOARD MEETING <br />MARCH 6, 1972 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by the Chairman Earl Schulke. Alvin Froehlich and Mr. Malamen <br />appeared. Mr. Malamen’s interested in buying Mrs. Wm Middelstadts property. He was most <br />concerned about a road into this from near Clarence Hoeft. Earl Schulke is to check on status of <br />said road. <br /> <br />Richard Patenaude, Bob Eastman, Marvin Moon, Dick Duggan appeared to see what has been heard <br />about the gun ordinance. It was stated by Frank Madsen that it is the attorney’s general opinion that <br />the ordinance against use of guns can not be enforced legally. Everett Specht moved and Frank <br />Madsen seconded that the ordinance No 1 be repealed. Motion was unanimous. Mr. Beard, Stanley <br />Peterson and Jerry Jackson also were in on above matter. <br /> <br />Rodney Lefebvre appeared before the board he is unemployed. A motion was made and seconded <br />that $100.00 be paid to Rodney Lefebvre and Mrs. Alicia Brodeson for rent. Motion carried. <br /> <br />John Oliver and Jeffrey Rootes appeared before the board. They brought along a map showing most <br />roads and home locations. A motion was made by F Madsen seconded by E Specht that the <br />nd <br />Preliminary of Ben Roper 2 Island View Addition also profile of some be approved. Motion <br />carried. It was moved that the fire calls be paid and originals of bills be sent to parties involved. <br />Motion carried.
