<br />ELK RIVER TOWN BOARD MEETING <br />MARCH 23, 1971 <br /> <br />The Town Board met in special session to review the case of each welfare recipient. The meeting <br />was called to order by Earl Schulke the chairman. Gerry Moos applied for relief from the township. <br />He now works for Gene Doebler and is going to mechanic school. It was decided he should see <br />about surplus food from Sherburne County. Franklin Madsen will call welfare and let Gerry know <br />what is available. <br /> <br />Marvin Thibodeau also appeared before the board. He states that he is now receiving <br />unemployment checks. He has been looking for work and has some prospects in site. Arden Preuse <br />was also to appear but he did not show up.
