<br />ELK RIVER TOWN BOARD MEETING <br />FEBRUARY 17, 1971 <br /> <br />The Town Board held a special meeting at the office of John MacGibbon. Present were John <br />MacGibbon, Mr. Mills, Jack Klein, E Rathbun, EL Specht, Earl Schulke, Franklin Madsen, Bill <br />Brady, Gordon Frederecksen. The purpose was to investigate possibilities of ways to head off a <br />possible land fill in the gravel pit now operated by the St. Paul Sand and Gravel Co. The Main <br />concern was the possible future pollution of the wells in the vicinity also the Village water supply. <br />The Town Board is to show their feelings in this matter so that the planning commission also the <br />County Board will know the desire of the people in Elk River Township. Mr. Mills was to look into <br />what safe guards PCA are putting into the permit issued for the above purpose.
