<br />ELK RIVER TOWN BOARD MEETING <br />FEBRUARY 15, 1971 <br /> <br />The Elk River Town Board met with the Village Council in joint session. The purpose of the <br />meeting was to discuss whether it would be advisable for the two boards to go into a sanitary land <br />fill program at the location of the present village dump. Two garbage haulers were also present. <br />They told how they were now handling the disposal of garbage. After much discussion it appeared <br />that the cost of such a project would raise the cost of individual dumping at the site too much. It <br />was mentioned that it would be cheaper to let these haulers handle all of the kick up in the areas of <br />the Village and Township. <br /> <br /> <br />EV Rathbun <br />Clerk <br /> <br />
