<br />ELK RIVER TOWN BOARD MEETING <br />AUGUST 10, 1970 <br /> <br />The Town Board met with all members except Mel Peterson present. The Meeting was called to <br />order by EL Specht. Theo Bray was present to complain about the road into Camp Cozy being in <br />poor condition. He requested that the road be graded so it can be snow plowed in the winter. Earl <br />Schulke made an appointment to meet with him Tues nite \[sic\] at 7 PM to look over the road. Lewis <br />Lahmon was in to say that whoever surveyed in his area was to do three stakes for him. Douglas Dill <br />was in to see how the Town Board was coming on tarring the street where Douglas Dill lives. The <br />Board had gotten prices from H&O also H&S Blacktop companies. The H&S Company was <br />th <br />cheaper on bids. The Board is to meet Wed Aug 12 7 PM at Dough Dills to talk over the tar job. <br />Dave Goddard appeared to explain that he had gravelled the road and now it will have to be redone <br />before the road could be tarred. Ed Dreissig, Eldon Beard met to see about the road in his area. The <br />Board will meet with them. <br /> <br />th <br />Elk River Township and Big Lake Township were to meet Thursday evening 8 PM Aug 14. <br /> <br />Joe Bodnar met with the Town Board he stated that he has a handicapped child and he will need a <br />school bus ride. The road is now 2 rods. He was told to get an extra rod from Mike Kish and one <br />rod from Gene Thompson. Joe was asked to get easements from Gene Thompson and Mike Kish – <br />Marvin George and John Oliver appeared with the final plat for Marvin George. The plat is called <br />st <br />School view 1 Addition. Earl Schulke moved and E Rathbun seconded that the above plat be <br />accepted. This does not include . Motion was carried. <br /> <br />The Elk River Town Board requirements for bondage on plats are as follows. 30’ top – 1 ½ ‘ cold <br />mix 4” minimum base class 5 gravel. Cost approximate cost $4000.00 per mile. <br /> <br />A motion was by Earl Schulke seconded by JR Moldenhauer that the plat of Riverview Heights be <br />accepted. Motion carried.
