<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER REGULAR MEETING CITY COUNCIL <br />OCTOBER 26, 1912 <br /> <br /> <br />A regular meeting of the Village Council was held at the office of Geo. E. Page on Saturday evening <br />October 26, 1912. <br /> <br />Present: Geo. E. Page, President, B.F. Plummer, Geo. Worden, Trustees, W.F. Chadbourne, Clerk. <br />H.G. Hastings {illegible} weigh {illegible} <br /> <br />Meeting called to order by President, reding of minutes dispensed with Mr. Hastings present report <br />of business done at the scales from August 1 to October 17 and turned in monies collected by him. <br /> <br />The following resolution was unanimously adopted. <br /> <br />Resolved that the sum of “Three Thousand Dollars” to be raised for general purposes for <br />coming year and that the County auditor to instructed to levy tax for that amount. <br /> <br />The following bills were presented and on motion allowed – <br /> J. E. Hamlet – gasoline - $37.25 <br /> Geo. E. Page – fumigating - $17.00 <br /> Henry Bargabos – City Marshal & street lighter - $80.35 <br /> Henry Hastings – {illegible} due at city scales - $51.00 <br /> B.F. Plummer – Judge of Primary election - $6.25 <br /> Geo. Worden - Judge of Primary election - $6.25 <br /> Charles Katcher - Judge of Primary election - $6.25 <br /> Archie Allen – Clerk of Primary election - $6.25 <br /> W. F. Chadbourne – Clerk & other fees - $10.75 <br /> Holfgren Bro – 2 ballot boxes - $2.00 <br /> N. D. Trumbull – rent of hall and booths - $5.00 <br /> The Patterson Street Lighting Co. - $25.08 <br /> <br />Henry Bargabra agreed to attend to the duties of Marshal and light street lights and also to do other <br />small jobs as they appear for the sum of $50.00 per month which was accepted by Council. <br /> <br />Adjourned <br />W.F.
