<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER SPECIAL MEETING CITY COUNCIL <br />MAY 13, 1912 <br /> <br />A special meeting of the Village Council was held on Monday evening on Mar 13, 1912, at the office <br />of Geo. E. Page, President. <br /> <br />Geo. E. Page, President, B.F. Plummer and E.P. Babcock Trustees and W.F. Chadbourne, Clerk. <br /> <br />Meeting called to order by President at 8:00 p.m. <br /> <br />The following bills were presented and on motion duly made seconded and carried were allowed and <br />clerk ordered to draw warrants for their respective accounts. <br />The Patterson Street Lighting Co. – streetlights - $26.27 <br />W.R. Smith – goods for needy person $18.36 <br />R.E. Dare – disinfectant - $5.00 <br />Davis Bros. – goods for needy person - $11.86 <br />Walter S. Booth & Sons – blanks for Justice - $5.20 <br />J.E. Hamlett – gasoline - $8.08 <br />Ben Daniels – work at washout - $6.00 <br /> John Blocker – work at washout - $6.00 <br />M.K. Iliff – work at washout -$6.00 <br />Will D{illegible} – work at washout - $3.00 <br />Otis Hall – work at washout - $3.00 <br />Geo. Lowe – work at washout - $2.00 <br />Henry Bargabos – work at washout - $4.00 <br />Otto Blocker – work at washout - $2.00 <br />Grover Malroupe – work at washout - $2.00 <br />Will Smith – work at washout - $4.50 <br />Charles Mausner – work at washout - $6.00 <br /> <br />On motion duly made seconded and carried the following special commitees were approved B.F. <br />Plummer to confer with {illegible}{illegible} in regard to aid in repairing bridge over Elk River on <br />account of washout May 7, 1912. <br /> <br />E.P. Babcock to get aid from State in repairing tubes at north end of bridge over Mississippi river. <br /> <br />State engineer Cooley having reported as to method of repairing tubes at north end of above bridge <br />recommending that the Village purchase a machine for repairing {illegible} at the cost of $500.00 on <br />motion he was instructed to purchase said machine and proceed to make such repairs as <br />recommended. <br /> <br />Mr. Frank Hall having presented a sealed bid accompanied with certified check for $25.00 to furnish <br />material and construct sidewalk on ease side of Princeton St according to specification on fille for <br />the sum of 60 cents per {illegible} for walk and $1.00 per yard for crossings. No other bid being <br />presented, and this price being deemed reasonable on motion bid accepted and bond fixed at <br />$200.00 for faithful performance of work. <br /> <br />Clerk instructed to notify said hall to that effect. <br /> <br />No further business, adjourned. <br /> <br />W.F.
