<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />AUGUST 16, 1910 <br /> <br /> <br />The Common Council met at the Bank of Elk River. <br /> <br />Members present: F.L. Salter, President, J. Virgin, L. Pollard, B. Carr trustees, O.J. Whitman, <br />recorder. <br /> <br />Meeting called to order by the President at 8:40 p.m. Minutes of the last meeting were read and <br />approved. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Virgin seconded by Pollard that Mr. Hastings be allowed the weighing fees for <br />running the village scales in ? of a salary to December 1, 1910. Motion carried. <br /> <br />On motion the following bills were audited and allowed: <br />st <br />32 – Standard Oil Co. – 60 gal gas August 1 - $8.52 <br />th <br />33 – Standard Oil Co. – 50 gal gas August 15 - $7.10 <br />th <br />34 – Standard Oil Co. – 25 gal gas August 28 - $3.55 <br />35 – Davis Bros. – pail and nails - $.35 <br />36 – F. White – to appearing to W.N. Bell in Justice Court and drawing complaint and <br />warrant in same, advice in same and other matters - $10.00 <br /> TOTAL - $29.52 <br /> <br />th <br />A motion was made by Pollard, seconded by Virgin to have 5 street surveyed and across from Elk <br />th <br />St to Princeton St on north side and on east side to 6 St to establish line and grade for sidewalk on <br />th <br />north side of 5 Street and on east side of Princeton Street, also on south side of Depot Street from <br />Minnesota Street to Thomas Street and to authorize street committee to engage council and attend <br />to the surveying. <br /> <br />No further business adjourned carried. <br /> <br />O.J.
