<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />MAY 17, 1910 <br /> <br /> <br />The Common Council met at the Bank of Elk River. <br /> <br />Members present: F.L. Salter, President, J. Virgin, L. Pollard, trustees, O.J. Whitman, recorder. <br /> <br />Meeting called to order by the President at 10:30 a.m. Minutes of the last meeting were read and <br />approved. <br /> <br />Recorder was instructed to draw orders each month to pay the marshal and the lamp lighter. Motion <br />made by Pollard and seconded by Virgin. <br /> <br />On motion the following bills were audited and allowed: <br />2094 – S.M. Crockett – 1 ½ days work on road with team - $6.00 <br />2095 – Geo. Biddick – 3 ½ days work on road with team - $14.00 <br />2096 – W. Dimick – 9 ¾ days work on road with team - $19.50 <br />2097 – Lee Slaback – 14 ¼ days work on road with team - $28.50 <br />2098 – L Pollard – 2 ½ days work on road with team - $5.00 <br />2099 – Elk River Lumber Co. – elbow, tile, cement, hauling gravel - $57.37 <br />2100 – Walter S. booth & Son – license book – Village Treasurer set book - $4.20 <br />2101 – The Patterson Street Lighting Co. – 18 mica chimneys - $2.70 <br />2102 – A.N. Dare – printing 1000 checks 2 sides - $5.75 <br />2103 – Balance due M.C. Blanchett for printing transfer liquor license - $1.70 <br /> Total - $144.72 <br /> <br />On motion by Virgin seconded by Pollard the recorder was instructed to write Prosper Vassar <br />ordering him to vacate Ferry Street and remove all buildings, fences, and other obstructions that are <br />in the street belonging to or placed there by him. <br /> <br /> <br />No further business adjourned carried. <br /> <br />O.J.
