<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER MEETING CITY COUNCIL <br />JUNE 6, 1927 <br /> <br />The regular monthly meeting of the Village Council was held at the Library room on Monday, June <br />6, 1927 <br /> <br />Present – Roland K. Wilson, Pres, George Cornelius, L.L. Bishop, EE Scott, Trustees, W.F. <br />Chadbourne, Clerk <br /> <br />Mrs. Harold Caley and Thelma Ebner representing the Library Assn came before the Council and <br />asked for some improvements for the library viz. a new table, bookcase and old reading table <br />repaired. On motion the librarian Miss Thelma Ebner was instructed to procure the articles named <br />at the expense of the council. <br /> <br />The Twin City Milk Co enlarging their plant and needing more room asked the council to sell them <br />Lot Three, Block 8 east of their present building. <br /> <br />The following resolution was unanimously adopted. Resolved: That the Council sell the Twin City <br />Milk Co. Lot (3) in block (8) Village of Elk River said Lot lying east of present building for the sum <br />of One Hundred ($100.00) Dollars. Clerk was instructed to have a warranty deed made for same. <br /> <br />The following Resolution was unanimously adopted. <br /> <br />Resolved that the sum of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) be appropriated for the expense of fire <br />department attending convention at Duluth, June 1927. <br /> <br />The following bills were presented and allowed: <br />H.R. Caley paint for tank 220.30 <br />Harold Keays flowers for park 17.84 <br />E.R. Blacksmith Shop water tank repairs 111.11 <br />Eklund Drug Co mdse poor fund 17.84 <br />E.R. Power and Light Co repairs 11.80 <br />Star News Printing 3.00 <br />Henry Rupprecht rent Mrs. Decker poor fund 20.00 <br />American La France Co. soda 28.00 <br />Reed and Sherwood Co lumber 2.00 <br />F.J. Konop use of auto 1.00 <br />Fred Ayers labor water works 6.00 <br />S.R. Houlton labor street 17.50 <br />A.T. Dobel labor street 27.50 <br />Fred Bailey labor street 27.50 <br />Frank Nogle labor street 10.50 <br />O.L.
