<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER MEETING CITY COUNCIL <br />JANUARY 3, 1927 <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Village Council was held at the Library Room on Monday Jan 3, 1927. <br /> <br />Present – Roland K. Clements, Fred Ayers Fire <br />Chief <br /> <br />Meeting called to order by the Pres at 8 o’clock PM <br /> <br />The following bills were presented and on motion allowed. <br /> <br />Davis Prod. Goods for Mrs. Dawson 82.90 <br />E.R. Blacksmith labor and material at fire barn 5.25 <br />Riverside Garage repairs fire engine 1.75 <br />Anna B. Hulbert meals for transients 5.00 <br />E.R. Co tel at fire barn 2.45 <br />Minn Municipalities 4.00 <br /> <br />In the matter of purchasing a new siren Mr. Winthrop representative of the Federal Electric Co <br />presented a statement as to the cost and benefits derived from having a good siren. <br /> <br />After some discussion in regard to the need of another siren no action was taken at present. <br /> <br />In regard to the matter of Bonds for the security of sinking fund now held by the First National <br />Bank to the amount of 23,000.00 without special bonds.
