<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER MEETING CITY COUNCIL <br />DECEMBER 7, 1925 <br /> <br />The regular monthly meeting of the Village Council was held on Monday Dec 7, 1925 <br /> <br />Present – Roland K Wilson, Pres, Geo Cornelius, L.L. Bishop, Trustees, W.F. Chadbourne, Clerk <br /> <br />Meeting called to order by the Pres at 8 o’clock P.M. <br /> <br />The Councils attention having been called to the fact that slot machines had again made their <br />appearance in Public places. A motion was made and carried unanimously that the Clerk be <br />instructed to notify the parties responsible and also the Village Marshal that all slot machines be <br />removed immediately from all public places. <br /> <br />The council was also informed that several families were in need of assistance. <br /> <br />The Pres. instructed to investigate and report at his early convenience in regard to the situation. <br /> <br />The following bills were presented and on motion allowed <br /> <br />Fred Ayers labor on waterworks 10.50 <br />Charles Roggatz coal at pump house 9.70 <br />E.R. Fire Depmt attending Thompson fire 18.00 <br />Star News printing proceedings 1.50 <br />Elk River Blacksmith Shop labor 1.35 <br />W.H. Clements St. work 14.25 <br />Caley Hdw Co goods 1.25 <br />E.R. Lumber Co 10.42 <br />E.N. Daly Co rent and repairs 15.00 <br />E.R. Power and Light Co repairs 5.95 <br /> <br />B.E.
