<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER MEETING CITY COUNCIL <br />SEPTEMBER 7, 1925 <br /> <br />Regular meeting of the Village Council was held at the Library Room on Monday, Sept 7, 1925 <br /> <br />Present – Roland K Wilson, Pres, Geo Cornelius, L.L. Bishop, Trustees, W.F. Chadbourne, Clerk <br /> <br />Meeting called to order by the Pres at 8 o’clock P.M. <br /> <br />The financial report of the Library Ass’n was presented by the Secy. Mary E. Guptil, showing a bal. <br />on hand of 24/77 report read accepted and place on fire. <br /> <br />The term of three of the directors of the Library Ass’n having expired. The Pres. appointed the <br />following Ladies to fill vacancy. <br /> <br />Mrs. S.R. Houlton, Mrs. Peter Jack, and Mrs. T.M. Olsen. <br /> <br />On motion duly made seconded and declared carried it was resolved: that the sum of two hundred <br />(200.00) dollars be donated the Sherburne Co Fair Ass’n for the year 1925. The clerk was instructed <br />to draw an order on the Treas. for the above amount. In the matter of purchasing a new siren for <br />the Fire Depmt it was decided to send the old siren to the city and have it examined and find out the <br />cost of having it repaired. <br /> <br />The following bills were presented and on motion allowed. Clerk instructed to draw orders for their <br />accts. <br /> <br />Geo E. Page M.D. fumigating 2.00 <br />W.H. Clements st. work 7.15 <br />Maurice Goodwin tapping main 2 times 4.00 <br />Fred Ayers labor on water pipe 3.50 <br />Standard Oil Co gas 10.00 <br />S.R. Houlton gravel for street 7.00 <br />John Bither special police 1.00 <br /> <br /> <br />No further business meeting adjourned. <br /> <br /> <br />W.F. Chadbourne, Village Clerk <br />
