<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER MEETING CITY COUNCIL <br />JANUARY 5, 1925 <br /> <br />A regular meeting of the Village Council was held on Monday Jan 5, 1925 at the Library Room <br /> <br />Present – Roland K. Wilson, Pres, Geo Cornelius, L.L. Bishop Trustees. W.F. Chadbourne, Clerk <br /> <br />Visitors Fire Dept. represented by Fred Ayers, Chief and Donald Dare. Waterous Engine Co. by <br />Fred Waterous. <br /> <br />Metting called to order at 8 o'clock P.M. <br /> <br />A proposition was made by the Fire Dept. that the Old Fire Engine be traded off for a new pupmp <br />to be attached to the Ford hose cart. <br /> <br />After some discussion the following motion was made seconded and declared carried unanimously. <br /> <br />That the Village Council turn over the Old Engine to the Fire Department to be traded at a value of <br />$500.00 to apply on purchase price of new pump to be installed on hose cart, said pump to cost <br />$1300.00 and to pay $60.00 per year until pump is fully paid for in lieu of paying rent for storage of <br />Old Engine. Contract made and signed with the Waterous Engine Co agreeable to the above <br />motion. <br /> <br />The following bills were presented and on motion allowed. <br /> <br />E.N. Daly Co storage and repairs on engine 53.08 <br />E.R. Library assn salary and lights 20.50 <br />Geo E Page disinfecting 8.00 <br />The Barrett Co. for Main St. 620.00 <br />E.R. Transfer Co freight 1.00 <br />Middlestadt Bros labor on meters 1.50 <br />Waterous Engine Co repairing hydrants 16.50 <br />L.
