<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER MEETING CITY COUNCIL <br />JANUARY 14, 1924 <br /> <br />A regular meeting of the Village Council was held on Monday Jan 14, 1924 at the Library Room. <br /> <br />Present – C.E. Brown Pres, B.E. Fournier and Geo Cornelius Trustees and W.F. Chadbourne, Clerk <br /> <br />Meet called to order by the Pres at 8 o’clock P.M. The minutes of the last meeting read and <br />approved. <br /> <br />Mrs. L.A. Dare tendered her resignation as Trustee of the Library Board which was duly accepted. <br /> <br />Moved and carried that the Village Clerk be and hereby is instructed to investigate the cause of the <br />poor service given the Village by the Elk River Power and Light Co and if deemed necessary to <br />procure legal advise to assist herein. <br /> <br />The following bills were presented and on motion allowed and clerk ordered to draw warrant for <br />same. <br /> <br />W.H.
