<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER MEETING CITY COUNCIL <br />JULY 21, 1920 <br /> <br />Special meeting of the Village council held at the office of the Elk River Lumber Co Wednesday, <br />July 21, 1920. <br /> <br />Members present J.H. Virgin, President, Bert Carr, Trustee, M.P. Williams, Clerk <br /> <br />Meeting called to order by the president at 8:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Minutes of last meeting was read and approved. <br /> <br />The purpose of the meeting was to approve of the proposition made to the Twin City Milk <br />Producers Assn in laying an extension of Main down to their property line. <br /> <br />Clerk read letter from Twin City Milk Producers Assn of their reception of our proposition <br />submitted to them to this effect. <br /> <br />The plans of the Twin City Milk Producers Assn is that the Village should put in main to property <br />line with reducer on end of Main so that they may connect with a inch galvanized pipe. <br /> <br />Motion made by J.H. Virgin President and seconded by Bert Carr, Trustee that the Council <br />authorize Phelps-Drake Co to make an extension of Water main starting from water main on corner <br />of Main Street and Ferry Street running east to the east line of Ferry Street. <br /> <br />The extension is to be of 4 in cast iron pipe with a plug in end with a reducer with thread to make <br />connection with a two (2) inch pipe. <br /> <br />Motion voted on and carried by council. <br /> <br />Motion made by J.H. Virgin, Pres, that Bert Carr and D.W. Longfellow notify the Widell Company <br />to make necessary fills and driveways where it is needed along paved highway. <br /> <br />Motion was seconded by Bert Carr and passed by Council. <br /> <br />No more business motion be made by J.H.
