<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER MEETING CITY COUNCIL <br />APRIL 6, 1920 <br /> <br />Regular meeting of the Village Council held at the office of the Elk River Lumber Co on Tuesday, <br />th <br />April 6, 1920. <br /> <br />Members present J.H. Virgin, President, Bert Carr, Trustee, Chas Selhauer, Trustee, D.W. <br />Longfellow, Trustee. <br /> <br />Meeting called to order by the President at 8:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Mr. C. Slaltenburg appeared before the council representing the Elk River fire dept. regarding the <br />Election of John Madson as Chief. The Council approved of Mr. John Madson as being Chief of the <br />Elk River Fire Dept. It was also suggested by Mr. Slaltenburg that a committee of three firemen <br />attend a firemen’s convention at Moorhead and wanted the help of the Council. <br /> <br />H.B. Nickerson appeared before the council in regard to the Spurr track across the highway to the <br />new creamery. The Council decided to take the matter in consideration and look it up. <br /> <br />John Vacha was at the meeting to talk over the matter regarding water up Princeton St. <br /> <br />No further business.
