Initial research indicates <br />that North Terrace and Elk Hills Green Space were acquired in the 1960’s with park dedication but Baldwin <br />and Meadow were not which allows them to be sold. Parks Maintenance finds Baldwin and Meadow Parks <br />challenging to access. In fact, Baldwin can only be accessed through private property. <br />If the Parks and Recreation Commission recommends vacating park property, then the Planning Commission <br />will need to pass a resolution regarding the sale of public property prior to City Council action to approve / <br />execute a purchase agreement. <br />Financial Impact <br />The estimated cost to maintain Baldwin and Meadow is about $10,000 for both properties.
