Staff was hopeful to
add hours to this position in the 2023 budget. Because no staff additions are being made for 2023, staff decided to
go to market to fill this part-time afternoon position as it had existed.

We received 23 applications and offered interviews to 12 candidates. Following interviews and background and
reference checks, we recommend Kristine Galligher for the position.

Ms. Galligher holds an Associate’s Degree in Small Business Office Management and has been working as an
accounting clerk for Sylva Corporation since 2020. Her prior work experience has been in bookkeeping, directing
plays, and prop and stage design.

Ms. Galligher will start at step A of pay grade 6N. All pay and benefits will be consistent with city policy.

Financial Impact
This is a budgeted position.

Mission/Policy/Goal
The Elk River Mission.
Attachments
 None

The Elk River Vision
A welcoming community with revolutionary and spirited resourcefulness, exceptional

service, and community engagement that encourages and inspires prosperity.
Updated: August 2020
