5.3
I'.II IIw ! ' CI
To: Elk River Library Board
CC: Lori Lundstrom, LSC
From: Jeannette Burkhardt, Patron Services Supervisor
Date: October 25, 2022
Introduction
My name is Jeannette Burkhardt. I am the new Patron Services Supervisor for the Wright and Sherburne
county libraries. I have been an employee of the Great River Regional Library system for 15 years. I held
the positions of Library Assistant and Library Services Coordinator, in the neighboring libraries of Becker
and Big Lake, before taking on the regional role of Patron Services Supervisor, October 3, 2022.
Year End Campaign
Great River Regional Library's Year -End Campaign will start on November 1 with letters going out to all
previous donors. This fundraising effort benefits the regional library system as a whole. This is the biggest
and most extensive fundraising effort of the year. The Year End Campaign helps fund Communications,
Programming, and Collection Development. The topic/theme for 2022 will be Wifi2Go. The support from
the Year End Campaign will help continue this service to GRRL patrons.
Hot Spots
The Hot Spots program has expanded. Currently, there are 150 hot spot devices that float throughout the
region. These hot spots are available for requests or renewals and check out for 3 weeks. Each branch has
newly upgraded hot spots that are considered Lucky Day items. These devices are available on a first -come -
first -serve basis, are not available for requests or renewals and check out for 1 week.
Library Development Plan
The Leadership Team is currently working on the Library Development Plan. This plan helps the GRRL board
determine if all branches are situated to meet the needs of the communities in which the branch resides. The
Development Plan also looks at other service options and helps determine if those service options are feasible
and sustainable for other locations within GRRL's service area.
\%GRARY
FAT RIVER MOM
