Elk River <br /> Municipal Utilities UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING <br /> TO: FROM: <br /> ERMU Commission Mark Fuchs—Operations Director <br /> MEETING DATE: AGENDA ITEM NUMBER: <br /> November 12, 2019 6.1c <br /> SUBJECT: <br /> Staff Update <br /> ACTION REQUESTED: <br /> None <br /> DISCUSSION: <br /> • Had 15 new house services. <br /> • Continue collecting data with the GPS for our ArcView maps as time permits. <br /> • Continue installing the underground infrastructure for the Lawatsch Farms Addition. <br /> During the installation we will also be rebuilding Pascal Street,Troy Street, and 189th <br /> Avenue. <br /> • We are waiting on a shipment of decorative poles that will be used for the one <br /> remaining downtown light that still needs to be replaced, and for 29 lights along Quaday <br /> Avenue in Otsego. <br /> • We painted twelve 30' poles on Quaday Avenue in Otsego. <br /> • We upgraded the transformer at Abiding Savior Church to accommodate their new <br /> addition. <br /> • Elk River Cornerstone Ford built a photo booth building for taking pictures of their <br /> vehicles which required a new single phase service. <br /> • Installed a new single phase service at 16000 Jarvis Street for an outbuilding. <br /> • Installed three phase underground primary, added a three phase transformer, and <br /> changed out an existing three phase transformer to a larger one for the Youth Athletic <br /> Complex lights. <br /> • We moved the three voltage regulators from County Road 40 to County Road 13 to <br /> maintain appropriate voltage in the Miske Meadows development and the surrounding <br /> area. <br /> • Mi-Tech Services performed pole inspections on 404 poles. Once we received the test <br /> results we'll be working on changing out the poles that didn't pass inspection. <br /> • Scott Thoreson and Darren Weber attended Minnesota Municipal Utilities Association <br /> (MMUA) Overhead School October 15-18 in Marshall, MN. During the Overhead School, <br /> MMUA held their annual Minnesota Lineworkers Rodeo and Zac Johnson, Nick <br /> Hommerding, and Matt Zipp participated. Zac placed in two of the three events. Scott <br /> was a judge for the rodeo and an instructor for the Overhead School. <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br /> 229 <br />
