UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING <br />TO:FROM: <br />ERMU Commission Mark Fuchs – Operations Director <br />MEETING DATE: AGENDA ITEM NUMBER: <br />August 11, 2020 6.1g <br />SUBJECT: <br />Staff Update <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />None <br />DISCUSSION: <br /> Staff continues to work with Kodet Architectural Group on the new field services <br />building. GM Contracting, Inc. has completed the relocation of the force main. They also <br />disconnected fourresidentialwaterservicelinesthat were no longer in use at the main <br />so they will not interfere with future work. <br /> <br />Staff hada pre-construction meeting for the County State Aid Highway (CSAH)12road <br />improvement project. New Look Contracting, Inc. is hoping to begin work on August 10. <br />Staff has begun moving the overhead and underground electric infrastructure for this <br />project. <br /> <br /> Staff had a meeting with the City of Otsego and Wright County for the third roundabout <br />at O’Dean Avenue and CSAH 39. They are hoping to start clearing out the right of way in <br />the middle of August. Once that is completed, we will begin replacing the existing <br />overhead infrastructure with underground. <br /> <br /> Staff had a meeting with City staff to look at options for extending the fiber ring network <br />to the east side of Highway 169 where the City plans to build its Public Safety Building <br />and Fire Station 3. The network currently connects ERMU, City, and County facilities, <br />while ERMU’s long-term plan is to have connections to the wells, water towers, and <br />electric substations. <br /> <br /> <br />______________________________________________________________________________ <br />Page 1 of 1 <br />102 <br /> <br />
