This was also discussed <br />briefly at the MMUA Summer Conference. We received our letter for service cost in <br />2023 and for the same level of service (two days per month) our costs would increase <br />25% - from $24,500 to $30,739. We are evaluating internally and discussing options of <br />partnering with the City for cost savings to both entities. <br /> <br />• The Board of Directors of the Minnesota Municipal Power Agency (MMPA) met on <br />August 30, 2022, at Chaska City Hall in Chaska, Minnesota and via videoconference. <br />Mary Stewart, Mark Hanson, and I were in attendance. The public summary of the <br />meeting is below. <br />o The Board reviewed the Agency’s financial and operating performance for July <br />2022. <br />o The Board discussed climate change and its effect on MMPA electric sales. <br />o The Board discussed the current business environment. <br />o The Board discussed the status of renewable projects the Agency is pursuing. <br />o Customer penetration for the Clean Energy Choice program increased to 4.0% of <br />members’ retail customers. There was an increase of 35 customers participating <br />in the program from June to July. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />103
