<br />Request for Action <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />To Item Number <br />Mayor and City Council 4.9 <br />Agenda Section Meeting Date Prepared by <br />Consent July 18, 2022 Zack Carlton, Community Development Director <br />Item Description Reviewed by <br />Easement Purchase Agreement: 18454 Waco St. Cal Portner, City Administrator <br />Reviewed by <br /> <br /> <br />Action Requested <br />Adopt, by motion, a resolution approving the easement purchase agreement for 18454 Waco St. NW and directing <br />staff to execute and deliver all necessary documents required under the terms of the agreement. <br /> <br />Background/Discussion <br />Last fall, as a result of the proposed Broadway on 10 apartment project, Council directed staff to move forward <br />with a project to extend Business Center Drive from the Beehive Homes to Waco Street. Staff has since hired a <br />consultant to prepare construction plans and began, at Councils direction, negotiations with the property owner at <br />18454 Waco St NW regarding the purchase of necessary easements to complete the project. <br /> <br />The attached purchase agreement outlines the terms of the city’s acquisition to support the roadway extension. The <br />property owner has reviewed and signed the agreement. Closing will be scheduled on or before October 31, 2022. <br /> <br />Financial Impact <br />The agreed upon purchase price is $35,000.
