The rezoning is consistent with the City of Elk River Land Use <br />Plan adopted as part of the City of Elk River Comprehensive <br />Plan. <br /> <br />Background/Discussion <br />Upon receiving a building permit for a building addition on the subject <br />site, staff realized the property is zoned two different zoning districts <br />and the proposed structure overlaps the two zoning districts. <br /> <br />The property is zoned both R1a (Single Family Residential) and I2 <br />(Medium Industrial).
