<br />Request for Action <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />To Item Number <br />Mayor and City Council 4.7 <br />Agenda Section Meeting Date Prepared by <br />Consent May 16, 2022 Brandon Wisner, Engineering Project Manager <br />Item Description Reviewed by <br />Riverbank and Swale Stabilization Projects Cal Portner, City Administrator <br />Reviewed by <br /> <br /> <br />Action Requested <br />Approve, by motion, quote from Resource Environmental Solutions (RES), LLC for the combined amount of <br />$48,065 to stabilize eroded shoreline in Bailey Point Nature Preserve and a swale adjacent to 1 Morton Avenue. <br /> <br />Background/Discussion <br />The city has been working with Friends of the Mississippi River (FMR) to identify and stabilize shoreline that are <br />on or are tributaries of the Mississippi River in order to reduce soil loss into the river which degrades the water <br />resource. We received one other quote that totaled $77,376.00. <br /> <br />Financial Impact <br />FMR to fund the Bailey Point Nature Preserve shoreline in full.
