UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING <br />TO:FROM: <br />ERMU Commission Thomas Geiser – Operations Director <br />MEETING DATE: AGENDA ITEM NUMBER: <br />May 10,2022 6.1g <br />SUBJECT: <br />Staff Update <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />None <br />DISCUSSION: <br /> Staff has been attending meetings with Sherburne County to plan for the County Road <br />44 project. <br /> ERMU has hired Matt Duitsman asa temporary apprentice lineworker. <br /> All poles along Highway 169 have been removed. We are working on wire relocation at <br />th <br /> Street intersection and the Highway 10 westbound/Highway 169 northbound <br />the 5 <br />ramp. <br /> <br /> Staff has attended several construction meetings for upcoming projects this <br />spring/summer. <br /> <br />Material orders remainanissue for all departments. Lead times and pricescontinue to <br />grow. <br />Attendedthe Line School Advisory Boardmeeting at the MinnesotaStateCommunity <br />and Technical College in Wadenaon April 20. <br /> Attended a Minnesota Municipal Utilities AssociationJob Training and Safety meeting in <br />Marshall, April 26-27, as a member of its committee. <br /> On the morning of April 29, a vehicle struck a pole at Highway 10 and Jarvis Street. The <br />City of Elk River Street Department along with MnDOT helped with closing down the <br />highway so crews could lower the line and subsequently raise it again when it was ready <br />to be reinstalled.
