UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING <br />TO:FROM: <br />ERMU CommissionTony Mauren–Executive Administrative Manager <br />MEETING DATE: AGENDA ITEM NUMBER: <br />May 10, 20226.1f <br />SUBJECT: <br />Staff Update <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />None <br />DISCUSSION: <br /> Staff will be attending their second year of the Minnesota Municipal Clerks Institute, <br />May 9-13, which is taking place during this meeting. The institute, which is offered <br />through St. Cloud State University, is a three-year continuing education program leading <br />to professional accreditation. <br /> <br />Per the Governance Policy G.3e General Manager Performance Planning and Evaluation <br />and consistent with Governance Policy G.3d Monitoring Performance of the General <br />Manager, the Commission conducts a formal evaluation of the General Manager during <br />the second quarter of each fiscal year. Theresa Slominski’s performance evaluation will <br />be conducted during a closed session at the June 14, 2022 commission meeting. An <br />email providing a link to the evaluation survey will be sent out within the week. <br /> <br /> On May 18 the Communications & Administrative Coordinator will begin her first <br />training through ed2go, an online platform provided in partnership with Anoka <br />Technical College. This service offers convenient, cost-effective staff development in a <br />variety of topics. Staff’s first training will enhance skills in Adobe Photoshop. <br /> <br /> Social media posts feature a variety of topics including: Lineworker Appreciation Day, <br />Earth Day, acknowledgements sent to participants of the Clean Energy Choice program, <br />our reliability excellence award, Drinking Water Week, hydrant flushing, and <br />announcements such as upcoming commission meeting dates. As you can see, our new <br />Communications & Administrative Coordinator found her stride very quickly! <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />______________________________________________________________________________ <br />Page 1 of 1 <br />132 <br />
