Request for Action <br /> Cir•ci <br /> Elk - <br /> River= <br /> To Item Number <br /> Planning Commission 8.2 <br /> Agenda Section Meeting Date Prepared by <br /> Work Session April 26, 2022 Chris Leeseberg, Senior Planner <br /> Item Description Reviewed by <br /> Comprehensive Plan: Land Use and Zoning Zack Carlton, Community Development Director <br /> Map Updates Reviewed by <br /> Action Requested <br /> Provide feedback on the proposed Land Use and Zoning Map amendments. <br /> Background/Discussion <br /> The Comprehensive Plan was adopted by the City Council on October 18, 2021, and within the document is the <br /> Land Use map. The Comprehensive Plan made numerous changes to the Highway Business,Business Park, and <br /> Industrial categories. The Zoning Map should be updated to reflect the recently approved land uses. <br /> Staff is only presenting the changes to the Highway Business,Business Park, and Industrial categories currently. <br /> Remaining land use and zoning districts will be discussed later. <br /> Staff also suggests a few changes to the Land Use map,largely due to overlooked or omitted parcels. For <br /> example, the property just east of Zylstra's was approved to have a Land Use of Traditional Single-Family <br /> Residential but should be guided for Highway Business. <br /> Please review the proposed Land Use and Zoning Maps.
