<br />Request for Action <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />To Item Number <br />Mayor and City Council 4.12 <br />Agenda Section Meeting Date Prepared by <br />Consent April 18, 2022 Mark Dickinson, Fire Chief & Director of Emergency <br />Management <br />Item Description Reviewed by <br />Participation in Joint Cooperative Agreement Peter Beck, City Attorney <br />with Sherburne County Fire Departments <br />Reviewed by <br />Cal Portner, City Administrator <br /> <br />Action Requested <br />Approve, by motion, the participation of the Elk River Fire Department through a Joint Cooperative Agreement <br />with the Sherburne County Fire Departments. <br /> <br />Background/Discussion <br />The Sherburne County Fire Departments Fire Chiefs Association previously had an Automatic/Mutual Aid <br />Agreement for the intent of providing equipment, personnel, and other resources to political subdivisions from <br />other political subdivisions pursuant to a request by a Fire Department in Sherburne County. <br /> <br />The agreement expired and is now a Joint Cooperative Agreement since Automatic/Mutual Aid agreements for <br />bordering cities are separate.
