<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE ELK RIVER PLANNING COMMISSION <br />WORKSHOP HELD AT CITY HALL <br />JUNE 19, 1990 <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Rita Johnson, Mary Eberley and Arlon Fuchs <br /> <br />Discussed definition of Government Facility, to be received from Tim Keane. <br /> <br />1989 budget was $4,000. Amount actually spent is unknown, felt it necessary <br />to determine future budget. I f camera and VCR are needed should it be an <br />item in Planning Commission budget. Continue budget discussion at next <br />workshop. <br /> <br />A goal for this fall would be to inventory all books purchased for Planning <br />Commission use. These books to be placed in the library for all to use and <br />checked out only by Commission members. <br /> <br />Mobil workshop should be held in early summer and late fall. The fall tour <br />to be scheduled in September or October. Mary Eber ley requested a tour of <br />Elk River Landfill. <br /> <br />Chris Kreger of Conteck Environmental Services was present to answer the <br />technical questions asked by Commission members. <br /> <br />It was agreed that a meeting with the City Council and Planning Commission <br />should be scheduled to share ideas on the future of Elk River. This meeting <br />should not be a part of a regular scheduled meeting but rather a special <br />meeting only for sharing of ideas. <br /> <br />Commissioner Johnson to call Janelle Szklarski and have a proposed billboard <br />ordinance ready for the June 26, 1990, Planning Commission meeting. <br /> <br />After the new Commissioners have been approved, a class should be scheduled <br />to acquaint all Commissioners on the reading of site plans. <br /> <br />The July commission meeting to be video taped only upon insistence of <br />Chairman Kimball. <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br />Arlon E.
